Electronics Technician I
Altus Technology Solutions is seeking a full-time Electronics Technician I with electronic warfare/radar systems experience to support our client at Poinsett Electronic Combat Range, Shaw AFB, SC.
Functional Responsibility: The Electronics Technician I maintains repairs, troubleshoots, modifies and installs various types of electronic equipment (specifically electronic warfare/radar systems and microwave communication apparatus) and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, television, telecommunication, and navigational aids); personal computers and terminals.
Electronics Technician I applies advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Examples of such problems include determining the location and density of circuitry, evaluating electromagnetic radiation, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. Work typically requires an understanding of the interrelationships of circuits, exercising independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. Work may be reviewed by a supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices.
This technician is an operator/maintainer and operates assigned electronic warfare, scoring, radar tracking, engagement systems and communications equipment. Will operate and maintain the Tactical Radar Threat Generator (TRTG).
